American Packaging Corporation Achieves GFSI Certification With Zero Non-Conformances
ROCHESTER, NY – July 6, 2015 – American Packaging Corporation Flexographic Printing & Laminating Center of Converting Excellence located in Story City, IA has completed its GFSI certification audit with zero non-conformances.
For certification, the auditor conducted employee interviews, accessed programs and practices, examined records to ensure APC is meeting the standard requirements and inspected the facility for overall cleanliness.
Customers now require certification to a globally recognized food safety system. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognizes a handful of standards which meet Food Safety worldwide. Two of APC’s Centers of Excellence located in WI and NY previously achieved SQF Level 2 certification and with this recent audit its third Center located in IA obtained FSSC 22000 certification.
