American Packaging Corporation's Extrusion Laminating and Coating facility combines multiple substrates to provide the ultimate barrier for your products.
Our Rochester, NY location offers the latest technology in complex barrier laminations of films, foils, papers and resins. Our tandem extrusion laminators can produce up to 5 layer laminations with the unique capability to adhesive laminate one of the layers in one pass. Additional capabilities include extrusion applied hot melts, non-foil barrier coatings with in-line adhesive lamination, die cutting of roll fed lidding, along with wide web flexographic printing up to 6 colors.

An $11.5MM expansion project began in June 2008 at this facility with completion expected in early 2009. The expansion includes a 15,000 square foot building addition and a custom built 175 ft tandem extrusion line.

This facility houses our Corporate Analytical Laboratory where critical barrier, physical property and atmospheric testing are preformed. This extensive laboratory is the starting point for many of our customer's packaging developments. Our strict adherence to specifications, combined with statistical process control, ensure that you receive the highest quality material.
This facility specializes in complex extrusion and adhesive laminations that include over 125 combinations of raw materials and resins. The Corporate Analytical Laboratory is located in the Rochester facility. The testing capabilities include barrier testing, physical property testing, shelf stability testing, product stability testing, material analysis, etc. Approximately 150 dedicated employees who work in this 150,000 sq ft facility.
