With over 100 years of experience, American Packaging is a full service flexible packaging converter. We specializes in up to 10 color flexographic and 10 color rotogravure printing, multi-ply extrusion and adhesive laminations from a wide assortment of paper, film and foil substrates. We manufacture printed and un-printed roll stock including roll-fed labels and peelable or fusion lidding specifications along with preformed items such as pouches and bags that include features and options to satisfy a variety of products and applications. Manufacturing is done in our three process focused, state-of-the-art facilities (Rochester, NY, Columbus, WI, Story City, IA). Our core converting competencies include a complete range of barrier specifications as well as pattern applied heat seal and cold seal coatings. APC has the capability to design specifications that meet the diverse packaging requirements of our customers based on their packaging equipment/processes, product needs and shelf life requirements. Each Division's technical group has extensive knowledge of substrates, inks, and coatings and is capable of developing packaging solutions to meet each customer’s unique requirements. Each Division is further supported by our Field Technical Service Group. Our Field Service Technicians are strategically located throughout the US and provide service, training and technical support to our customers manufacturing facilities and packaging lines.
Due to the diversity and focus of American Packaging's manufacturing facilities, each site has its own dedicated technical resources. These technical groups provide new product development, existing product enhancement, process optimization, cost savings and sustainability initiatives for their customers. Recent innovations and capability additions include all plastic
die-cut lidding, metalized laminations to replace high barrier aluminum foil,
EsterSteam® microwave steam cooking technology, state-of-the-art laser perforation equipment, in-house DuPont Digital Fast plate making.
